Bookmark graveyard
How many of your saves are already dead?
Drop a bookmark export. We check up to 200 of the links, tell you which no longer load, and find a Wayback Machine copy where one exists.
The file is read in this tab. Nothing is uploaded until you say so on the next step.
Why bother
38% of web pages that existed in 2013 could no longer be found ten years later.

What happens to your file
- Your file is read in your browser. It is never uploaded.
- You see how many links it holds, then choose whether to send up to 200 of them for checking. Only the addresses and save dates go, not titles.
- Our server asks each site whether the page answers (headers only, no page content) and asks the Wayback Machine for copies. The addresses are not stored or logged.
- A shared result carries three numbers, never a link.
Getting your export
- Chrome
- Bookmarks → Bookmark manager → ⋮ → Export bookmarks.
- Firefox
- Bookmarks → Manage bookmarks → Import and Backup → Export Bookmarks to HTML.
- Safari
- File → Export → Bookmarks.
- Unzip the export you downloaded before the deadline and use part_000000.csv. An older ril_export.html works too.
If you came from Pocket
Mozilla shut Pocket down on July 8, 2025, and gave everyone until November 12, 2025 to export, after which the data was deleted. If you got your export out in time, it is a list of links that has been ageing ever since. Drop the CSV above to see how it has held up.
