Using Norget

These terms apply when you use Norget, including its website, browser extension, iOS app, Telegram bot, imports, bookmark tools, search, memory tree, and AI features. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Norget.

Data processing and imports

The Privacy Policy explains the AI processing and other services that receive your data, international transfers, retention, and your rights. Chat, answers, summaries and categorization first use an open-weight 0GM-1.0 model that Norget operates on our own hardware. The local model can receive your question and relevant saved text, titles, URLs, descriptions, notes, categories, author/creator handles, sender names, save dates and conversation context.

0G Compute is an optional second provider after the local model and before the hosted fallback. If configured, Norget would send it your question and relevant saved text, titles, URLs, descriptions, notes, categories, author/creator handles, sender names, save dates and conversation context. Norget would request private inference in a trusted execution environment (TEE). Norget does not independently verify the TEE. 0G Compute is not enabled today, and no content is sent to 0G.

If the local model and any configured second provider are unavailable, time out or fail with certain errors, the hosted fallback sends the same question and context to OpenRouter and asks for DeepSeek V4 Flash. OpenRouter picks the company that hosts the model for each request, which can be DeepSeek in China or another company in another country. Public archive answers written from matching published saves, and image and screenshot reading, go straight to OpenRouter; images use Google Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite. OpenRouter and the host process these requests under their own terms and privacy policies. Search embeddings use Qwen3-Embedding on the same self-hosted machine. The Privacy Policy explains what each provider receives. Norget does not use your content to train models.

Writing suggestions run only when you use the Find my saves hotkey or menu command. They require explicit consent. If consent is off or the host is muted, nothing leaves your browser. When you invoke the feature, the extension sends the selection, or text from the focused field, up to 2,000 characters, together with the hostname.

Writing suggestions send draft context to an embedding endpoint only when the resolved host is on an operator-managed allowlist. The operator lists only Norget's self-hosted Qwen3-Embedding host. If the allowlist is missing, the resolved host is not listed, or the formatted input exceeds the embedding budget, Norget uses keyword-only retrieval. Draft context never goes to OpenAI, a hosted embedding fallback, or a completion model. We do not store the draft text, and there is no option to opt in to raw draft storage. We store a per-user HMAC of the normalized draft context, character count, source, hostname, client version, and request timestamp. We keep a monthly suggestion usage count until account deletion. The count includes requests that Norget later refuses because the global spending limit was reached. We also store whether a suggestion was shown, accepted through copy, insert, or open, or dismissed with an optional reason: irrelevant or wrong project. These records link the request ID to the bookmark ID, rank, and timestamp. The request metadata remains until you delete your account. Deleting a bookmark removes its suggestion events and provenance links, but not the request metadata.

Instagram imports use your signed-in browser session, not Instagram OAuth. X (Twitter) bookmark imports read the posts that load on your bookmarks page through the browser extension. The separate X OAuth bookmark-sync connection is currently disabled for new connections, and optional sign-in through X is a separate feature. You can also upload supported export files. An import only includes what your browser loads or your file contains. You must have permission to import and process that content and must follow the source platform's terms.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, keeping your login credentials secure, and activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly at support@norget.io if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content

You keep ownership of the bookmarks, notes, questions, and other content you submit to Norget. You give Norget a limited permission to host, process, and transmit that content only as needed to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to save and process the content you submit.

Acceptable use

You may not use Norget to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• upload malware, harmful code, or content designed to disrupt the service;
• access another person's account or data without permission;
• abuse, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service except where law permits; or
• use the service to create or distribute deceptive, harmful, or unlawful material.

Billing, cancellation and refunds

Free and paid plans both have usage limits. Paid subscriptions offer monthly or yearly billing where available. You pay in advance for the interval you select, and the subscription renews automatically for that interval until you cancel. The price, currency, billing interval, and applicable taxes are shown before payment. Paid access starts on your existing account after payment is confirmed and the subscription is activated.

Our payment processor acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the invoice, and handles any applicable VAT or sales tax.

You can cancel at any time: email support@norget.io and we will cancel it for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal and nothing further is charged. Deleting your Norget account does not cancel a paid subscription, so cancel first. Your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then returns to the free plan.

Refunds. If you are unhappy with Norget, email support@norget.io within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it in full, no questions asked. After 14 days we do not refund the current period, but you can cancel to prevent any further charges. This applies to monthly and yearly charges. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Mandatory consumer rights, including any statutory withdrawal or refund rights, are unaffected.

Dropping to the free plan never deletes anything. Saved items above the free limit stay in your archive and remain searchable; you simply cannot add new ones until you are back under the limit.

Service changes and termination

Norget may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, create a security risk, or misuse the service. Where practical, we will provide notice before taking action.

Service provided as-is

Norget is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Norget makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI-generated summaries, categories, search results, and answers may be incomplete or inaccurate, so you should verify important information.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Norget will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date at the top when we do. Your continued use of Norget after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
