?Why do the plans differ mostly in saved items?
Saving costs us roughly ten times what asking does: every save is read, summarised and indexed. So the plans differ mostly in how much you can keep. Questions are capped too, at 50 a month on Free and 5,000 on Archive. When you reach the cap, questions stop until the next month and nothing you saved is touched. ?What happens when I hit the free limit?
New saves are refused with a clear message. Nothing already saved is touched, hidden or deleted, and you can keep asking questions. ?What if I cancel?
You keep access until the period you paid for ends, then the account returns to Free. Saves above the free limit stay in your archive and remain searchable; you just cannot add new ones until you are under the limit again. We do not delete your things to make a point. ?Who actually charges my card?
Polar, as merchant of record: they are the seller, they take the payment, they issue the invoice, they handle any VAT or sales tax, and their name is what appears on your statement.
